I can’t fathom the idea of a multi billion dollar corporation having an employee arrested over $110 worth of fruit cups and chicken. It’s not like he was the mastermind behind an embezzlement scam or anything. Just fire the kid and take the $110 out of his last check.

Aside from it just being a shitty thing to do I would think the terrible PR from such a thing would be enough for them to not want to cause a whole scandal about it.

The smug look on that managers face makes the whole thing 100 times more disgusting.

Edit: it appears that this manager knew about the small thefts for months and never once gave the employee any type of warning or corrective action. They actually watched him and waited over multiple months for these minor incidents to FINALLY add up to over $100 so that they could have him arrested. Apparently they cannot involve law enforcement until the theft reaches a certain amount.

Clearly this manager just gets off on this sort of thing and never cared about the theft or the employee

I remember working an entry job and thinking that the snacks were free because everyone was just grabbing them. Took a few months before I found out there was an honor system and people were paying at cost for the items and dropping the money in a drop box.

If nobody confronted the employee, there should be a statute of limitations for each infraction.
