Really? How useful, really, is having so many of them? I feel like there are so many more kinds of storefront that could use that space and serve a better spectrum of the community. The weed shops I’ve been in have all had very little inventory for the size of the space they’re in.

Weed shops around me usually have all sorts of inventory. Ounces range from 60 for basically shake and popcorn nugs to over 300 for “designer” strains! I usually buy ounces between 100 and 120$ and their pretty gas testing 20-27 % depending on strain. Only usefulness to so many storefronts for me is that I have lots of choice and price competition. I think part of why there’s so many pot shops around me is in the winter we see a huge influx of tourists, so I think most of their business comes from out of staters.

I’m from a state with state-owned liquor stores. I like them a lot more that independent stores because they have very reasonable prices and a wild variety in what they stock, local and international major and specialty brands. I’d like to see the same model for weed shops.

I agree I think state owned dispensaries could be awesome! I do find it pretty rich that my state only allowed state owned liquor, but only has private cannabis shops. I thought the idea was to regulate them in a similar manner, which they clearly aren’t lol.
