Even with pivotal elections looming this year, their lingering presence is barely mentioned

There is no way this is just one million, I would bet my bottom tax dollars there are some contractors making so much money off this.

Could be as simple as sanitation contracts for handling the excess waste produced.

1 million per day - I think you missed the per day part.

And yes, you are 100% correct, a lot of people are making bank.

Yeah, and have had zero effect on anything. It’s such a waste of money and resources. Just having these people pick up garbage would be a better use of their time.

I don’t understand how Trump is able to spend billions and billions on his bullshit expenses, like the refitting of his private airforce one bribe, the ballroom, ICE, national guard etc, while previous presidents were constricted with spendings for even basic things. And so far Trump has been filling his pockets with billions of tax payer money as well. Where did all the money come from, if it previously didn’t exist?

Isn’t it a relatively safe assumption that that’s why it’s a costly deployment?

The US government is fully capable of spending an insane amount of money on something that doesn’t result in working people getting one thin dime.
