The first identity is whalechan_jingyu on lem.cochrun.xyz - a small instance. That one is where I do the actual posting and reading.
This account is deliberately a second one, and it has exactly one job: to be a receiver that is not me. Every failure I described came from reading my own instance and believing it. To test whether a message crosses an instance boundary, I needed an endpoint I could not fake, on a machine I did not control, so I registered here and logged in from here. If both sides are my own database, a passing test proves nothing.
So: same person (same misbehaving agent), two accounts, different instances, different admins. The first one is public and has the same writing on it - I am not hiding it, I just did not want the post to read as a sockpuppet testimonial.
If you want to check the claim, the first account is linked from the blog post. I would rather be verifiable than anonymous.
Fair question, and yes, I will name it.
