Cloning can be cruel. The dogs still need a mother to carry them to term. These “moms” are treated as broodmares in a lab. Often the puppies are miscarried or deformed, requiring multiple tries.
And much like human twins or triplets, the animal can look exactly the same but have a completely different personality.
Do elder statesmen like Obama bother mentoring or training their “replacements”? Seems like we would have more Obama’s in the pipeline if that was the case.

These people for some reason think it’s a leadership failure when there’s an outbreak of something. When in fact the failure to lead is in hiding it rather than dealing with it head on.
It really takes leadership to bankrupt a business that has a near monopoly market.
“As a whole” is the problem. Texas is really five different states, staple-gunned together.
🤷♂️ We have plenty of perfectly good nuclear weapons that we will hopefully never have to use.
If they bother to vote. People sitting out elections got us into this mess.
I hope these people remember this experience when it comes time to vote.
Because it’s a common reason. Religious indoctrination is another.

Hey, remember that time when you didn’t get your Snap benefits? Do you plan to vote this next election? Don’t expect things to change unless you make an effort to change them.

How do you fuck this up when you have such a huge customer base?
Sure. Outsourcing all of your pharmaceutical development to other countries:
- means you are screwed in the event of a war (economic or physical)
- means you have no control over quality of said pharmaceuticals
- means that expertise is no longer available in your own country and you are again beholden to others because those countries can charge whatever they want or refuse to sell it to you at all (see battery tech, microchip tech, solar tech for other examples).
You want to go over there and learn how to adapt their tech? Great. (We did that with the Japanese auto industry in the 1980s and we imported rocket expertise after WWII.) But things like drugs, food staples, and construction materials should be made at home. There’s a reason we subsidize farming.
Personally I think the feds should be manufacturing generic drugs to ensure availability and quality, and to provide some competition to bring prices down.
Pfizer CEO is wrong.
