I don’t know the result of the lawsuit but it came down to some obscure FDA rule saying mayonnaise must contain egg. Something you may have glossed over if you don’t live in California: March is when the state begins to the switch to “Summer-blend” (a mix of spealized petroleum with 10.5% to 15% ethanol) which is required to be available by April 1 and until October 31. The price of gas was going to increase regardless.
