Right. That’s why treating animals inhumanely is bad. Maybe having empathy for other living beings in general would be a better solution.

You’re completely right about the half-truths not being a good look for the left. It only serves to erode trust in media and rhetoric. The reason it worked for the right is because that type of propaganda works on idiots that don’t bother to investigate or can’t actually comprehend what is going on. It’s not going to have the same effect for those that haven’t fallen for the rights tricks.
What we actually need is more truth to be reported and more democratic politicians to actually have a backbone or getting replaced by a leftist who does.

Its all about the disruption. But protesting isn’t the only thing that people should be doing. Community building is just as important if not more so.
Biggest takeaway; the media is still in denial.

I agree that ecologically it can be a better move but I also don’t blame anyone that chooses to have a child because who knows when politicians may revoke your ability to decide in the future.
The real problem is that our current way of life is a sinking ship and we’re close to the tipping point when the majority of people will need to find methods of living alternatively. Teaching younger people how to survive in this environment is going to be crucial. A lot will suffer through our collective ignorance until we find a new equilibrium with nature. We can adapt quickly and support climate positive actions or we can prolong it; I think we all know the current direction we’re going. Either way, until either the global ecological demand subsides, we’re just preparing future generations for an uphill battle.

I think it’s less on ceding metaphorical ground and more on getting people caught up that haven’t decoupled the “Jewish people are automatically Zionist” thought yet. The opposition is taking advantage of that preconceived notion that a lot of people have.

And what are the benefits of authoritarian rule for its citizens? Given enough time, those rulers will cause harm in any circumstance.

Its because they genuinely do not care about anyone but themselves.
If someone was layed off, that’s too bad, find another job slacker. Someone ran over by a car, they shouldn’t have been in the way. Someone shot, that’s a bad neighborhood. Someone shot by police? They should’ve followed orders better.
They do not comprehend that there is more to things than just cause and effect because of the doublethink that has eroded away their critical thinking skills.

Not to dissuade anyone from thinking that California is a much better state than Alabama; but those rankings are terrible. Florida ranked #2 best state in education, #1 in economy, and #13th in crime? Yeah, that’s not biased at all USNews.

Kids do dumb things and hopefully learn from their mistakes but I dont think actively planning to shoot up a school is one of those things you can argue as innocuous.
The article doesn’t say whether he originally had these thoughts or if it was pressed onto him by his mother. It definitely sounds like he was at the very least encouraged to do extreme violence by his mother and he said himself that he looked up to other shooters and thought he would be famous.
The kid needs some mental health counseling at the very least in my opinion.

Agreed. We really should have better mental rehabilitative services, especially for youth but who am I kidding with how this country is going.

The article said that the kid had stuff with Nazi and white supremacy symbols and words on it. I’m pretty sure he’s not innocent in any of this.

That’s because they’ve never been held accountable by anyone but other rich people. It really seems like they’re trying to form a caste system so only those in their cabal are the ruling class.

Wow, what a joke of a human being.

Hey at least we saved that (1.98 * 10^-7)th person!
Its easy to support it when you control it. I doubt that cycle will end if Dems get control again.
