I can’t speak to whether they have the right guy or not, but it certainly seems like they only had illegally obtained data suggesting it was him, and then decided to arrest him anyway by planting some stuff in his backpack. So far they haven’t disclosed any admissible evidence, considering the backpack broke chain of custody.

You would start suspecting something was up pretty early on, when his trumper family stated that he had become “more political” recently. Trumpers absolutely would have called it out specifically if he had become more left-leaning, so the vagueness was a big hint.

The inscriptions on the bullet casings are all groyper memes, including “hey fascist, catch this”, which references the game Helldivers 2, a game where you fight fascists, but which has been co-opted by fascists.

The other background info we’ve been told which suggests groyper are his Halloween costumes, one dressed as trump and one as Pepe the frog doing a slav squat in a track suit. Dressing up like that doesn’t exactly scream leftist. It’s too risky to even do ironically.

So far I’ve seen one witness account saying he was saying leftist things, but this was later retracted due to the witness suspecting he confused him with a different person. Someone also claimed he had a trans roommate, but that guy had just dressed up in a hoodie and asked an AI to draw him, and it drew a female furry or something. Apparently that’s all it takes to be labeled trans in Trump country.

As motivation for the killing, what you’re saying is correct. But when it comes to protesting in the streets, they’re going to go after their usual token minorities, regardless of who did the actual killing. Hence why they’re trying real hard to label an obvious groyper as “left-leaning” and pretending he had a trans roommate.

They probably still think the killer is a trans immigrant. Much more convenient than facing reality.

Have you ever been tempted to? It was marketed as “the anti-woke AI” from day one, which is just another way of saying that the target audience is bigots and other flavors of dipshits. It’s not like these latest developments are a surprise to anyone who’s paid attention. Making it Nazi was the spoken goal from day 1.

Lone Wolf type attacks do have a much lower chance of being discovered, but that doesn’t change that just running at a group of armed agents is dumb. Planting a bomb or sniping them at a distance seems like something with a higher chance of success. Or even a suicide vest, since surviving certainly wasn’t a goal for the guy.

Sure, but that’s not what’s going to happen as a side effect of taxing unrealized gains, like what was discussed in this thread until now. A gradual transfer of ownership to the workers would have to be nudged in some other way.

In competitive industries (read: tech) this does happen to some extent in the form of stock being part of the compensation, but that’s not going to happen organically for every employment situation.

Give up control to whom? Some megacorp with infinite money would just buy a majority stake (often referred to as a hostile takeover) and wind up owning everything to an even larger extent than today.

The issue with realizing the gains is that you have to relinquish control of your company bit by bit. However, you could have the company (which you likely control) give out dividends, or you could use the stock as collateral for a loan. Or just pay yourself a bigger salary.

The state is a pretty big employer, so that portion might be held back for a while. That would still have to be paid by the end of the year, though.
