Steve Vladeck has a great substack article explaining this. The paid version goes into a more detail, but even the free portion gives a great explainer about just how fucking wrong Steven Miller is.
Even if the global birth rate dropped to ~1.75 kids per woman (currently it’s around 2.3), it would still take over 150 years for the world population to fall to half its current level. We are in no danger of humans becoming endangered, except by our own hands. I believe this is 100% related to him being an asshole.

Yes, the president has broad and basically unchallengeable pardon powers, and could do exactly that. The check against it is supposed to be Congress being willing to impeach and remove.

We should all be drinking less of both companies products, and I wouldn’t put past either company if they thought it would help their bottom line.

I understand and agree with the general concept of a case being moot when the underlying situation has already been resolved, but sometimes I really wish there was a way for proceedings like this to continue so we actually get rulings.
“At will” is the employment one regarding being able to be terminated without cause (as long as it’s not for a protected reason). “Right to work” is the one about not being required to join a union. But still, your point is valid.
