It’s not even AI that’s the problem wrt to making humanoid robots, it’s the lack of dexterity of automatons to do even the most basic tasks that most human can do. Even if AI improves, robots that can move like humans is still the hurdle.

The FBI only put a bulletin warning that masked individuals might be pretending to be government agents, just now? After nine months of terrorism? How is this not seen as authoritarian move? This is like with any full blown authoritarian states where the dear leader says something vague tantamount to directing a purge. And when enough people were purged, the dear leader would then say that his goons had gone too far from his original intent and order them to stop. This is not the first time America did something similar; the red scare and the McCarthy’s communist witch hunts went on long enough to tarnish people’s reputation, before Harry Truman made a speech calling out what is happening as unfair to people whose reputations were ruined. The powers-that-be know what the heck their doing and the last minute “call to sanity” is to white wash their deliberate intentions.

Let alone having A relationship. I still have to sort my own baggages before I enter into one.

Because they have been doing insider trading.

wonder how much of it is just “shit is clearly bad… Let’s please just try something different and see if it helps.”
It’s kinda both from how I see things. When Bernie wasn’t given a chance by the DNC in the primaries in 2016, the Bernie supporters flocked to vote Trump. The Sanders to Trump pipeline is real. Slavoj Zizek made a great point that people want someone outside of the neoliberal status quo, and Americans got that, but with Trump. Americans are kind of at the crossroads of what they really want.

.ml users tend to be Marxist-Leninists (hence .ml), so when they complain that someone is not “left enough”, it’s a code to mean is that the person is not a Marxist-Leninist/communist who wants to instigate an armed revolution, overthrow the system, and then seize the means of production. The thing is, many Americans could distinguish the difference between communists and socialists. Even the Fox news survey showed most young people support socialism, while only few support communism. I imagine ML clutched their pearls as hard as the conservatives upon learning of the survey.

Musk has kompromats on board of directors and shareholders.

What does Muslim have to do with bacons being carcinogenic?

Just because you don’t live under a tyrannical government doesn’t mean others don’t as well.

I’ve been using the term “Tory” as a pejorative. I was gleefully happy when I found out tory (tóraí) in Irish means “outlaw”, which the Tories imho.

UN is not stopping wars
People: What is the point of your existence!
UN wants to stop wars
Also people: You can’t tell us what to do! We have our own sovereignty!

I’m more worried that coffee prices are spiking because of climate change. The warming weather conditions is making the growing of coffee beans more difficult.

To be fair, she is still sharp and agile. At first I thought it was AI.
Edit: and just to let everyone know, a president of Ireland has little to no power. He/she holds a ceremonial role.

Red fascist.

So what? China curtail civil liberty. They’re communist in name only. China is a red fascist. Deal with it.

Germany be like:
Fascists to my left!
Red fascists to the right!
Neither US or China are good options. Germany should have ideally focused trade on anyone but the two.

“Donald Trump is now officially demolishing part of the White House to make room for his $200 million golden ballroom. This comes as Americans can’t afford groceries and the government is still shut down,”
This kind of overt and vain corruption will not go down well in other countries. This alone should cause mass riots and demonstrations. I guess Americans are still getting used to dealing with autocracies.

Another kitchen will take its place; always have. Now, whether you agree or not, the next kitchen is likely to be China.
And not to completely dismiss your point, but like I said in another comment, it’s important to decouple from the kitchen that is US to minimise the consequences. I don’t want another repeat of the Roaring 20’s and the countries too economically intertwined with the US also collapsed when the Great Depression hit. One of those countries who was dragged down the worst was Germany, when American investors pulled out their investments from the country. That severe aftershock gave rise to the Nazis, and the rest is history.
Don’t ask whether it’s distraction from Epstein list, ask whether everything bad is distraction from climate change and wealth inequality.
