The Tate brothers have been under criminal investigation in Romania on charges including human trafficking since December 2022. They were arrested in late 2022 and later indicted on charges they participated in a criminal ring that lured women to Romania, where they were sexually exploited, but a court later ruled that case could not go to trial because of multiple legal and procedural irregularities on the prosecutors’ part.

Kirk wasn’t just some “talking bobblehead,” he was a moral monster with a large following who was actively making the nation and the world a significantly more hostile & dangerous place for millions of disadvantaged human beings. The fact that his voice will no longer be a part of the national discourse is an unambiguously good thing and is worth celebrating, and I refuse to be ashamed for doing just that.
