I’m not referring to any specific legislation, more the concept. It’s designed to discourage people from participating in the legal system at all.

It’s also a pretty clear example of SLAPP prosecution.

In a 2008 interview with radio host Howard Stern, Trump recounted this story:

So what happens is, this guy falls off right on his face, hits his head, and I thought he died. And you know what I did? This is disgusting!’ and you know, they’re turning away. Nobody wants to help the guy. His wife is screaming—she’s sitting right next to him, and she’s screaming.

In that same interview, Trump was even more succinct: “I’m not good for medical. In other words, if you cut your finger and there’s blood pouring out, I’m gone.”

Interesting. I assume this is in the US? Also, please keep your butthole napkins to yourself…

“Shoddy work” is a bit of an understatement. He personally turned the people most likely to buy Teslas (left-leaning, EV/tech fans, environmentalists, etc) against the company, promoted 2016 election lies, did a Nazi salute at a far-right rally, illegally decimated public services and fired 100s of thousands of career government workers despite never being confirmed by Congress, installed unauthorized servers at several government institutions and had his private companies access federal databases of all our individual personal information. He instituted an illegal “pay for votes” lottery scheme, and became the largest election donor by creating a $250 million super PAC for Trump. He’s so completely toxic to the brand people have sworn to never have anything to do with Tesla just because of him.

Because of… the peaceful No Kings marches!? They’re offended that millions of Americans reject sliding into fascism? Or because of the future starving people because Republicans chose to stop the SNAP food benefits that have already been approved and funded? With the GOP, the cruelty is the point…

And the Republican government shutdown, now.

Totally get the sentiment “let Trump’s government stay shut down to limit the harm it does”, but remember they don’t actually follow the rules. This article is a prime example! They’ll fund the military, ICE, pretty much any authority with a gun. Trump will still get his ballroom, Kisti Noem her multiple luxury jets, etc. Meanwhile food safety standards will plummet, support to disadvantaged people will dry up, and people will suffer. Just not the Republicans that caused this shutdown…

What a fucking concept: the government we all fund actually helping its people during hard times. The federal DoA is stopping food payments next month.

Aside from the massive (further) hardship millions of families will feel, will we be told we don’t have to pay our taxes? Will we be issued refunds? Fuck no.

Democrats should stand outside grocery stores handing out gift cards. I guarantee that will do more than spending on any number of commercials ahead of the midterms…
