Yeah realistically society would be fucked if people didn’t age. You think we have generational wealth now? Ho boy.

Probably rather a lot of people in his inner circle.

I “read” on “the internet” to “make myself miserable”

Police: “You’re mentally ill.”
Person: “Er no I’m not?”
Police: “Looks like anosognosia, get on the ground, now.”

As someone who frequently shops on their bike, lack of handles on paper bags can be the difference between me being able to bring things home or not. I can hang a plastic bag off of the handle bars or over my shoulder if I need to. A paper bag without handles is going to leave me pretty screwed if I don’t currently have panniers with me.

TBH I think they’re right. It has zero chance to result in removal. It has zero chance of passing either house of congress. It just ends up being an ineffective gesture. Save it for when you have some chance of actually changing something.

Shit who’s this vputin guy in our group chat?

It may very well be true that people hold contradictory views, either because different groups of people are being conflated into one, or because many people don’t examine their views very closely. But I don’t think this article makes the case strongly at all.

A) I don’t think this is a new phenomenon at all
B) I don’t think they’ve provided any evidence that single women quitting the dating market is because of this.
Also has there ever been a point in time where the majority of single people don’t think that dating sucks?

I’m pretty sure that actually doing this would violate their medical licensing, regardless of VA rules.

While the current regulatory environment is very…discouraging, it’s not impossible, particularly if individual states take action.

Yeah, predatory ads for gambling really drive me crazy. Although I’d say my reasoning for being against it is pretty different from the Baptists.

Really need regulatory action on this. People have no idea.

Hypocrisy has never stopped him before and the immunity he’s been granted is very broad.

And now he’s pissing off someone who has shown full willingness to weaponize the Justice department.
But I also brought up civil court for a reason. Trump doesn’t really have direct leverage there and the discovery process could be very interesting in a case like that. A victim involved in the Epstein case may very well have standing to bring a civil suit if Musk is making information that’s harmful to them public.

Right? Accessing non-public information related to legal proceedings could very well be breaking the law. This is the sort of thing that could be actionable, in criminal or civil court.

One wonders if musk actually has any special information about this, and if so, how he got said information.

Not that I follow very closely but yeah I believe the original arrest was in Romania. Big cases like this can take years to resolve. Not sure how extradition laws would apply here.

It’s illegal in the US too. But there are still places that do it. Post-COVID a lot of places will have some sort of percentage surcharge that is not a tip but people assume it is and don’t tip.
I think the answer lies in the Hunter Biden charges. They can ask the question when purchasing a firearm and then charge with a crime later if they can show that the person lied.
Honestly wouldn’t be shocked if they started going after recreational marijuana either. Some big liberal states have legal marijuana.
