“In other news, person in Milky Way galaxy starts bawling like a baby”

Looks like OP specifically altered the title for drama

Why change the title? Australia ≠ Queensland
This is like changing the title of any story about Florida to be about America.

The best thing Australia could do is to abandon both America and China as major trade partners. Both countries have shown they are unreliable and will use their market power as a weapon.

Don’t worry, the next time we ‘hurt the feelings of the Chinese people’ things will be back to normal.

I hate this. China is just as shitty a trade partner as America. They are reactionary and impose nonsensical tariffs in response to perceived slights.
Increasing trade and dependency with these countries creates a deterrent against free speech.
Let countries like this stand on their own.

I hate universities that do this patronising nonsense (which is probably most of them tbh).
Things like this should be taught at school and assumed knowledge at uni. University is (generally) for adults.
Having adults teaching other adults ‘how to respect other cultures’, ‘how not to rape someone’, ‘how to work in a group’, ‘how to be ethical’, is condescending af.
Oh, for sure. I most definitely did not reach out to my local representative. That would be a weird interaction considering neither I, nor my local representative, are American.
BTW, you’re very welcome for highlighting your point here. Most people do not diligently follow their local politics. ‘Wanting’ them to do so isn’t much of an incentive. Nor is gaslighting them into believing that they should already be aware (coz reasons).
