    Sales are up 31% since the election. They’re not exactly running away

      And to that I say… how long does it take to decide to move, find a place, sell or finish the lease on your old one, pack, then finally move?

      If there is any effect on net migration to New York you won’t see it yet.

      Actually to that I say… house sales tell you nothing because you don’t know whether it went from occupied to unoccupied or vice versa or stayed the same.

        At any given minute millions of people are making the decision of where to move.

        Post election, that is so a significant amount of time for one to turn their gaze at NYC.

        If rates are good, and rats left some vacancies, perfect storm

        It doesn’t have to be some crazy explanation
