The United States and Iran have reached an initial agreement that would extend their shaky ceasefire and lead to the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
There is no deal. It’s a Memorandum of Understanding, which is basically agreeing to book an appointment to talk. And they aren’t even signing that until at least Friday. What are the chances of either Trump saying something really stupid that pisses them off, or Israel does something to sabotage it, before Friday? Pretty near 100%, I’d say.
They just wanted something that he could announce at his Big Stupid Birthday Party®. He probably thinks it’s going to be like the end of WWII, when everyone partied in the street. Of course MAGAs are all excited about getting to kiss women against their will. Except Lindsey Graham.
I think it’s possible Trump will just use it to open strait and withdraw military from there, then let Israel and Iran fight among themselves. Although with orange guy you can never know
