News@lemmy.world•'Faith in Jesus, Not Scientists': Minnesota GOP Lawmaker Dismisses Climate Change Concerns
5·2 days agoAnother reason why the US is in rapid decline. Luckily now all the other nations in the world are hiring all the scientists. After 4 years of this regime and that whale fucker in charge of the department of health, there will be a completely different dogma to the real science.

World News@lemmy.world•JD Vance gloats that allies are 'suffering more than US' from high gas pricesEnglish
2·10 days agoChina will not be impacted that much as you think. China is much more oil independent than before. Unlike the US, China invests heavily in green energy and nuclear energy. The only country that is behind in all of this, it’s the US.

31·12 days agoIt will be more like Afghanistan. Iran is mostly mountainous and guerilla warfare will be the default. The US relies too much on technology which will not that useful in that environment. Don’t forget that the Iran army has been training for years for this type of conflict. Afghanistan was a disaster for American troops but will be nothing compared to Iran.

6·12 days agoMy question is which allies? Europe is not an ally, China is not an ally. UK is not an ally, Middle East is not an ally except Israel and UAE. So who is he even talking about?

World News@lemmy.world•Oval Office stunned as Trump fires Pearl Harbor joke at Japanese PMEnglish
11·13 days agoIndeed they do but in other countries there are mechanisms in place to ensure you don’t get a cosplay dictator. In the Netherlands, Wilders was elected who is a Trump wannabe, but thanks for the proper democratic system in the Netherlands, he was severely limited in what crazy shit he wanted to do. Obviously the government collapsed and now they have a much more middle of the road government, which means more will get done. It is about checks and balances but Trump does whatever he wants and no one stops him.

34·13 days agoAmericans must be so proud of their commander in chief. Well at least 40% still are. That’s all you need to know about the United States. In regards to the world, you lost all respect and trust that took 80 years to built. If any other foreign leader would use this language, he would be in a white padded cell within hours.

7·14 days agoGood thing the US left the WHO. Another brilliant move by the regime. And don’t come crawling back. The rest of the world will prepare for this disaster initiated by the US as ordered by Israel. The whole situation is just so vile.

World News@lemmy.world•China ignores Trump’s Hormuz request as the Iran war deepens and his Beijing trip slipsEnglish
34·15 days agoChina is just sitting back and watch this mess unfold. Of course there was zero chance of China helping the US. If anything it is strengthening the CCP position at home where the US turns the world is in chaos, but China remains stable and turned inward. The Chinese people mostly care about stability and safety. It’s all playing in China’s hands.

News@lemmy.world•Trump may delay China trip as he pressures Beijing for help with Strait of Hormuz
3·17 days agoLike China cares. They have closed other trade deals and their export last year actually increased. Not to the US of course but they are becoming more irrelevant by the day.
Plus China will not provide any military support because they never do. They do provide UN peacekeeping forces but even those are limited.
I don’t know what Trump is thinking but he has no standing in Beijing or with the Chinese people.

World News@lemmy.world•Trump’s call for allied deployment to strait of Hormuz meets muted responseEnglish
10·17 days agoMaybe FIFA can step in with the ‘straight out of Hormuz’ award. Also does anyone seriously think that China will assist the US after the way they have been and still are being treated?

Promise? Because every thing you touch, turns to shit.
