Nah, she’s exactly what we can expect from Dems. She’s not progressive, but other than the ID thing, she’s got a pretty good track record. Even that was a lost cause but I would have rather her not roll over. Anyway, she’s not perfect but a hell of a lot better than where we’re be if Lake won.
My brother was murdered for stealing cash and drugs from a drug dealer. It was in the 2010’s and totaled about $1000. So maybe a little more than this even factoring for inflation. The killer got off due to some complications with the PA and two very partial juror. 11/12 guilty votes in 2 trials, and both times one guy who refused to vote guilty based on the race of the killer and the race of my brother.
I put this out there because this case hits very close to home. No one in my family ever even hoped for the death penalty. There is no reason to eye-for-an-eye here. Even if cruelty is the point, it’s crueler to make them miss the rest of their potential life. For me, there is always the possibility it’s the wrong guy, and if so, they should have no limit on how long they spend trying to prove their innocence.
There is no place for the death penalty in today’s world.
All these state governors are just so happy to sit in daddy trumps cuck chair. It would be hilarious if it weren’t also terrifying.

The market comparison is important. It outsold the EV Silverado by about 1000 and was outsold by the F150 EV by about 1000 units. The market cooled on all electric trucks, probably due to price and current economic conditions.
I wouldn’t say any agreement from before Covid was foolish. That was a revolutionary event in our society. I’d say any agreement made after 2020 would be though. And since most agreements are on 5 year contracts, why are they renewing? Every company should have reduced or eliminated their office space by now. If they had 10 or 15 year agreements, they need to learn to just eat that cost.
Amazon and others 100% used RTO as a “soft layoff” which I’m not sure if I like more or less than them just doing an honest layoff. At least workers had the opportunity to find jobs elsewhere without finding themselves suddenly without income.
75% or more of corporate office space needs to be converted to apartments. I know it’s not a simple process, but it’s the best way to deal with empty office space. It also helps drive population density, which helps businesses like grocers, restaurants, and convenience stores.
Individuals don’t typically pay taxes themselves. They get deducted from paychecks. Employers do this before we even get paid. So companies would need to support this. But then you have some like my employer who has hundreds of people in California but is based in another state. How is that going to work? This just isn’t as easy as residents just deciding not to.
In this economy they were probably just being contrarian to get another free meal and some more pocket change.
