How odd that a single policy document okayed white supremacism, false medical information and pedophilia.

It’s almost as if the three are all somehow interrelated - like they’re all promoted by and for the same people.

America - the land of “people should be punished for voting the ‘wrong’ way.”

It’s amazing that all it took was a few months of Trump in office for Republicans to stop even bothering to pretend to be anything other than overtly and explicitly anti-American - to out themselves as deliberate and even enthusiastic enemies of every single thing that ever made America great…

And once again, all we can do is wait and see if any of the thousands of people with the authority to fight this will lift a finger to do so.

And my prediction is no - they won’t. Between the cowards and the co-conspirators, there’s nobody left who will even try to stop the overthrow of the US givernment and the establishment of a plutocratic autocracy in its place.

“Debate” in this case is actually just the blatant and obvious truth vs. evasions, excuses and lies.

Unfortunately, at this particular point in our history, the evasions, excuses and lies will probably prevail.

Appropriately enough, that bubble of aging people also holds an outsized proprtion of the political power.

So all they have to do, if they want to ensure that there’s a constant supply of young people to do the work, is use their political power to make the country the kind of place into which people would want to bring children.

And I have to say, cruel though it might be, that if they can’t even be arsed to do that, then it’s their own problem and their own fault.

So?

The only downside to a declining population is that the moneyed class will have fewer people to exploit, and at this point, anything that harms the moneyed class is a good thing.

Oh, and:

Many researchers believe this accelerating global shift is being driven in large part by a positive reality.

And I believe they’re wrong. I believe it’s driven primarily by the negative reality that much of human civilization (and the planet itself) has been warped and corrupted for the benefit of a relative handful of greedy, power-hungry psychopaths, and more people all the time don’t want to bring a child into such a shitty world.

And he’s right.

By any measure, the exidtence of that great of a disparity in wealth in a society is evidence of the failure of the systems on which that society is built.

It’s akin to if you were responsible for caring for a field of crops, and you ended up with a field in which two or three plants were enormous, bloated and overgrown. a few were more or less healthy, snd the rest were weak and shriveled and starving.

That rather obviously would mean you’d failed.

So literally what happened here is Trump said, “I want to violate the Constitution” and the Supreme Court said, " Okay — go ahead."

And that’s it for the rule of law in the US.

All that’s left now is to tally the mass murders along the way to the inevitable collapse of the US, and to hope that our descendents can build something better out of the rubble.

Political corruption should be a capital crime.

Clearly he exemplifies the qualities the IDF values most, including brazenly engaging in indiscriminate slaughter of unarmed innocents.

I wrote it out (mostly - I didn’t finish it), but then thought better of it, but I didn’t immediately delete it. Then later when I opened my screen, there it was, still. And I actuslly thought “Lucky I didn’t butt-post that.”

The overall dynamic surrounding Israel’s treatment of Palestinians is simple and obvious - Israel’s actions are entirely indefensible, so all the efforts of the people responsible for it and of the many more people enabling it are directed not toward countering criticism, which is impossible, but toward silencing it.

This is such a bizarrely evil timeline.

The Republican party is a death cult.

Just a reminder that Trump is by any measure profoundly mentally ill and thus unfit for office and can be and should be removed.

I’m sort of idly curious who President Manbaby is going to blame for this.

It goes without saying that it’ll be someone other than himself - broadly that’s who he blames for everything he fucks up. But I wonder who specifically.

As with many spoiled children, it’s actually sort of perversely amusing to see just how ridiculous his lies might get.

IANAL, but I don’t think so, unless they managed to make a charge of fraud stick, which would require proving that he never had any intention of paying them.

Without something like that, his failure to pay up is a civil matter rather than a criminal one.

So the only question really is whether it’s more the case that he’s not paying because there’s a chance that he could be prosecuted for buying votes or if he’s not paying just because he’s a lying sack of shit who doesn’t keep promises.

Or both.

I’m thinking both.
